Obviously the truck rear (in my case Blazer) uses leaf springs.  Since the case is different, car 12-bolt internal components don't interchange.  Ok.  Next question, is it weaker than a car 12-bolt?  Thanks.

Not that I am aware of.  A 12 bolt car rear is pretty stout.  The only rears stronger are the 9" Ford and a Dana 60.
