While cruising over the weekend in my 71 Malibu, the driver side door lock was pushed down. When I got home, the door would not unlock or open - the plunger goes up and down, but the door handle on the inside and outside will not release the latch - the key (outside) will move the plunger, but there is no way to get the door open.
Anyone run across anything like this? Doubt I will be able to get the door panel off with the door shut. I have not tried to slim jim it yet (don't have one), but since the plunger does not have any effect, doubt a slim jim will.
Suggestions???.. I'm too old for a Bo and Luke or NASCAR style entry/exit...Denny
