I think that if the alternative is to replace the roof, I would look at some shrinking techniques. I've seen one where you put spot welds around the dish and quickly quench each one with water to shrink the metal in one spot. I'll look around and see if I can find the specific technique I saw regarding chevelle roofs.

I have a few buckles - oil canning (6" - 14" in size) on the roof of my '66.  Can oil-canning be fixed for a reasonable cost or should I consider a donor roof.  Restorng to original color which is Danube Blue Metalic (dark color).  Does a '66 / '67 Chevelle roof interchange? Any others for '66 / '67 Pontiac, Olds?
