Hooking up a clutch in a 72 chevelle, and it seem the fork does not move, there is no play in it.  Guess it could be that the fork is not seated correctly on the throwout bearing or it could be the wrong length ball installed in the bellhousing.  Also, with the headers, have to turn the pivot and mount on the other side of Zbar, the other end does not seat rear well on the fork.

 

Any other ideas before I tear it all back out again????? 

 

Also, looking for a shifter and mounting for a Saginaw trans.  Does not seem to be many of those around.
