Do you run the car at all during the winter??no If so, how much?? If you
don't, I wouldn't see the need for new oil before start up in the spring.
Maybe I'm missing something here. sounds like you are on the right track, i heard the oil loses its vecosity over time?? or turns acidic??Same for the filter.
How long is your winter storage?? 3-4-5 months??about 7
I don't see where the oil would have any contaminants or have been diluted
