This is one of the benefits of having your box rebuilt to your specs.  As Clint says here, there are internal stops for each car, and your box must not be a Chevelle box. Check out the write up here:

I just replaced the power steering gearbox on my 68 Chevelle and went from the 4-4 1/2 turn model to the 3-3 1/2 turn.  Now my turn radius is much larger.  Is this normal, to loose some ability to turn sharp in order to gain more responsive steering?  Or did I miss something?
