hi wondering if there are any electricians out there who know if this is true, a salesman told my friend he could switch his fluorescent lights from a T12 to a T8 type of light and he could save $1179.00 a year on his light bill and have more light with the same ammt of fixtures (13).  I priced the fixtures out and they are 24.00 more per light (twin 8' tube) or 6.00 more per light for a 4-tube- 4' bulb light. I need about 90 of them for my shop so the cost on the light fixtures would be a lot more, but if this savings on lighting bills is true maybe it would be worth it?? (my friend owns a small muffler shop so the lights are on at least 8 hours a day). they claim the wattage on his fixtures are 490, and the new fixtures are 166.   thanks for the help.   Harlan
