Not the best looking in my opinion but Alan Grove components makes brackets for a short pump big block that mounts the alternator on the passenger side.  Check http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/B.B.Short_Pump.htm  One mounts the alternator pretty high and may not fit under the hood and one is a ‘low profile’ that mounts the alternator about mid-carb height.  They are priced online at $70 and $85 respectively.  If neither of those fits the bill, I have some ideas on how you could build your own very similar to this:

Take some work and probably cost about the same as the ones above but it’d be different.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Alternator Mounting

Hi Gang, am trying to locate an alternator mounting bracket to be mounted on the passenger side cylinder head using a short water pump. Nobody seems to make such a monster, any thoughts and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Tim
