I assume you mean by " 66SS frame brackets" the short brackets that are located between the upper and lower control arms that Triangulate that frame area, by diagonally brace the rear suspension. Original one's are vary vary hard to find, they do show up on Ebay on occasion. They also Re pop them and are at most re pop dealers. They somewhat look like an original. also GW and Edelbrock make tubular ones.

Pont,Buick, Olds conv frames are the same length as the El Camino Frame.
It's been covered many times on Team Chevelle, You must cut 3 5/16 ( don't
hold me to that measurement As I can't fins mt spec sheet at the moment )
between the rear side mount and the rear mount each side.

The El Camino frame has the same strengths the convertible frame , there
both Boxed.

The only difference on the 67 frame from other years is the rear spring ,
your 67 and some late 66's use small pigtail top and bottom and 64.64 and
most 66 use small pig tail bottom and large spring OD @ the top.

I have NEVER seen a "Narrower" frame between the years 64 to 67 other then
the reduction of INSIDE width of the convertible or El camino boxing,
resulting in an narrower cross member.

Look up that frame info on Team Chevells. Also Dalespage.com ??? use to
also have a link to Frame dimensions
