Hello Karl,

I will venture a probability of it being the Clutch Fan and "possibly" the Tensioner altho the tensioner would invariably toss off the belt and of course this action would be very noticeable. I've completely removed the Clutch Fan from our '64 Chevelle El Camino simply because while these are good for some folk, I don care for them A BIT. I am using a 15" Flex Fan and it works marvelously as this particular engine/model did not come with a Fan Shroud.

I have a '93 Pontiac Sunbird with the 2.0 Litre and a factory Tensioner which squeals a bit yet it has been doing this for about 6 years, so I ain't concerned about it. I change the belt as I see fit. The Tensioner is $74.00 at the Dealer and ain't much for me to install whenever I decide to do it. It squeals a bit yet unlike your FORD, it does NOT get louder with acceleration.

I believe yer squeal is not because it is a FORD, but because of yer Clutch Fan UNclutching.

--Of course the other explanation can be that you should stop smuggling people into this country under the hood--NYUK, NYUK, NYUK!!

BEst of WELLness 2-u-n-urs-n ALL (ad)ventures !!
