Trooper, Alot of strange things happen in the auto industry.
My grand-mother bought a new 65 chev and never liked it. My grandfather being a large person said the car was fine. The problem was the steering and the paint. Hard to steer and everytime she wash the car,the bucket of water would show a white color. The car was white. Ten years later when I grew up and learned autobody. I went and restored her car. This new chev, off the show room, had a bent frame, body filler in the front hood, the trunk was also full of filler.Sanding down this four door, two doors were green and two doors were brown. This car was a total mess.My Grandfather should have listen and to it to a different shop and have it check out and then knocked some heads around at that chev dealer ship. Any thing can happen in the world of cars.I have lead seems in my 69 Chevelle that I just painted.Mabey they ran out of lead and grab a can of filler and a case of Beer and said what the hell!!! I that helps. My new painting dvd will be out into weeks. www.howardsbackyardautobody.com Howard
