Devin,
That is a good outing! And driving it home is even better.
Congrats
Walt

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Dyno Results
This was an interesting experience for me. I had not previously dyno'd
anything, ever. I was not able to make any adjustments on the spot as I
had wanted due to a clearance issue, but I did get one good pull to use
as a baseline. The first 3 pulls were done back to back, and afterward
we were checking the computer and the ignition reference wires had
vibrated off of the coil, so the first 3 were useless. My right slick
was rubbing on the tailpipe with my car tied down on the dyno, so after
my 4th pull we actually had some numbers. I wasn't able to go any
further however.
Both horsepower and torque were very nice smooth curves, with a max hp
of 423.1 at 5600 and 455.9 ft/lb at 4300. Fuel curve didn't get close
to 14:1 until 4700 rpm. It started out at 18.2:1 at 3000. I'll take
care of this before I go back for more pulls with a different cam on the
accelerator pump. I may have to do some jetting changes as well, but
it's pretty good in the upper range so I think the jetting is fairly
close.
