�Clutch Fan Question?

I took my clutch fan apart some time back to strip and paint.  Neglected to 
notice at the time, but there is a hole on the edge of the clutch and a pop 
rivet in one of the fan blades.  I know these are for balance, but don't 
know if they go together (same side) or opposite.   Wheels and tires 
supposedly follow this same condition (with markings) for basic balance, but 
not sure of the orientation.  Any Idea?  Thanks, Denny
