There are two ways of adjustment assuming you have the older version of the 700R4. I know I had two burn up. One from the guy that built my 46 Chevy Truck didn't put a decent trany cooler in and then mounted it under the bed. Talk about dumb. After putting a huge B&M trany cooler the second one died, but it was a defective trany from the factory. The third one is a charm and I have a trany temp gauge on it to monitor it.
Check with Jasper they have a simple way of adjusting them putting the throttle to the floor and making the adjustment to the cable on the throttle or carb. The other is probably the best by using a pressure gauge connected to the trany with a long hose and making the adjustment to the TV at the recommended pressure. Your choice! Another question is if you have the later computer controlled 700R4, then you don't have a TV valve. Also note that whom every you buy the trany from, check and see if they have higher performance grades of the trany.
