Looks like a stamped number from Tonawanda with date 0208 (Feb 8) but last two would be letters to identify engine hp and trans type (?) like ED, EF, EG, etc. FWIW, all Mark IV engines have some form of HIPERF, HIPER, etc. cast in them. :*)
