There should be a hose that goes through the firewall to power the vacuum to
operate the inside flappers and vents for the AC stuff.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Vacuum Hose Question

Just noticed today that I am missing a vacuum
hose on my '70 LS5.

On the AC evaporator there is a vacuum can
that is about 4" in diameter and about
31/2" long. This can has two inlets or one inlet and one outlet
on the back side (end of can that faces the
passenger seat) the bottom inlet has a hose attached that connects to a
fitting on the intake manifold. The top inlet has no hose connected.
What should this top inlet or outlet be connected to?

Thanks for the help!
