The pros use acid and an industrial floor waxer/polisher with an
abrasive brillo type pad to etch the concrete prior to epoxy. That
was the main reason I paid someone to do it. I didn't want to mess
with the acid wash, but it is doable and you could most likely rent
the machine to etch it.

has anyone used that epoxy floor paint they have that you sprinkle
specks into it ??
wondering how it holds up, if it wears off (the specks and/or the paint)
i was going to have it done by a place (it looks almost like a
carpet) but they want more to do it than i paid for the concrete!!!
so i thought i would check on this.
