Many times that smell is in areas your unable to clean (i.e. the cotton packing 
they use in the seats, the headliner, and the jute under the carpeting) The 
best thing I've found is to simply open the doors and let it sit outside for a 
few days. Of course I can do this out in the country. In the city there may be 
too much risk.

    i have tried lysol, fabreeze, and air freshners but the musty smell remains 
in the car, anyone know any thing that works to rid the smell?
