Any answer yet? I spent some time this AM looking thru the 72
Assembly manual & the 72 Fisher Body Manual & couldn't find anything
definite. The assembly manual page (1A2D) is reproduced very poorly & I
can't tell exactly how they are mounting the nozzles.
I did go look at my cowl hood and can tell you where I mounted them
several years ago. I don't remember what rational or info I used, but this
what I did.
Passenger side, there is a "bubble" in the cowl screen that seemed to be
the location. The nozzle is mounted about 3 inches inboard of the rise for
the hood bubble. And stix out thru the screen bubble.
Driver side - Mounted just barely outboard of the beginning of the rise
for the hood bubble.
FYI - If you use the cowl screen, be very careful about which screws you use
to mount it. I bought a repro screen & screws. The screws were a hair too
long. After I mounted the screen I had 5 or 6 little dimples sticking up
at the back of the "good" side of the hood. Paintless dent repair got them
out, but it was aggravating.
Going back to the nnozzles, I don't remember if I used predrilled holes or
not. Hope this helps.
