The Backyard Buddy is a 4-post lift and doesn't require bolting it down. There are even optional casters so it can be moved. It's a ramp style lift as opposed to a frame lift so it may not be what you're looking for.

For the 2 post you will need to dig (jackhammer/air chisel/saw through rebar) footings (through the floor and into the base) for the (4) anchor bolts on each post and fill with grout, even then it looks like it would be 'tippy'... The four post spreads the weight out more evenly and no way is it going to tip over (pull the anchor bolts out of the ground/break the bolts/crack garage floor with now discontiuous rebar, etc.) , not sure the 4 post would even need anchor bolts grouted into a footing dug/sawed into the floor, probably a good idea anyway, but may be something to think about... I agree that their lifts look good and are well priced I think. The problem is they have too many choices. Are you near one of their showrooms? Or just going to have it shipped? Anyways, i'm looking to buy a 2 post asymetrical lift for my garage and i'm leaning heavily towards this one. Anyone got any opinions or dealing with this company. Their stuff looks to be well built. http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/Master-Series-XL-9-p/tp-xl-9oh.htm Thanks, Kyle Eddie Bumgarner 66ss conv. _____ Be a better sports nut!
