Harlan,
I too am looking to open my own shop here north of Atlanta, and have found two places for great advertising. First one is Craig's List craigslist.org. It's free and there are a ton of folks on it every day. The second one which sounds fake, is the Gay yellow pages. This one is of course geared toward the gay and lesbian community, and shows that your business is gay and lesbian friendly (You don't have to be gay to advertise). I have a couple of friends who, anytime they need work done on anything, they look there first, and are very loyal to businesses who are competent and conscientious with their work.

Both of these are great ways to get those first clients and really start to generate word-of-mouth.

Good luck with the search and the business.

Shawn

Devin, I think I remember your situation from before-this (losing your business) happened awhile back correct??

Thanks again everyone!!
Its real hard being out of work-and I just cracked 200 places I have applied!

Harlan
