I have one and I open the gap up with a pair of pliers first. Then the tool will pull everything parallel when you gently squeeze it.
Here's a link on the Jegs website of the tool I was talking about: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_673353_-1 Bill Vander Werf ----- Original Message ----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, January 20, 2008 11:48 AM Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] MSD question O/T In a message dated 1/20/2008 6:01:06 AM Central Standard Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: The only issue I came across is if you don't use a pliers type plug gapper you can't get the ground electrode square to the center electrode thank you Bill, what does this pliers type gapper look like?? i have noticed that too- the electrode is at an angle to the center electrode, so the gap may be bigger on the outside and a bit smaller towards the inside where the electrode is attached to the plug body,,, does this tool straighten it out first and then rebend it somehow?? thank you again Harlan
