That car just sold at the B-J auction for an insane amount of money.
$650,000 IIRC.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] OT: Monkees' GTO
Since it's a slow night...
Does anybody else have the Flowmaster 2008 calendar? The Feb car is the
fully restored Monkees 1966 GTO. What a bizarre car. The nose is like a
big wind scoop and I don't think that convertible top was meant to travel
over 15mph. I like the headers though.
I wonder what they did w/ the inside of the trunk and the area behind the
rear seat. Looks like there might actually be a third seat, or at least
it's padded out.
Two "Monkee Mobiles" were made. The one on the calendar appears to be #1.
This car went on tour w/ the band and was apparently abandoned in
Australia at the end of the tour. It apparently re-surfaced in 1992 at a
government foreclosure auction in Puerto Rico, and sold for the minimum
bid of $5,000.
#2 had a yellow/orange color around the grill rather than silver, and the
same yellow around the headlights, rather than the body color.
You can see pix of both here:
