Hi Guys, My hot restart problem happened again Saturday while on a VCCA club tour. Needless to say I was not pleased when my 2005 crate 350 with HEI cranked strongly but refused to start. In two previous episodes it started 20 minutes after opening the hood. This time I waited 30 minutes and when it still wouldn't start called the Hagerty service folks and had it flatbedded the 13 miles to home. Naturally it started instantly after being deposited in my garage.
Today I replaced the HEI module and coil for the awesome total of $38 from my local Kragen/Shucks/Checker store, drove it 30 minutes, shut it off 30 minutes and it started just fine. Cured? Maybe. Thanks for the help. Dennis McGillis 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS-350
