The number on the block pad sounds correct for the vehicle. I don't know what the original 1 in front of the 7 is on the pad. Usually just 7 for model year the a and the last 6 of the vin. You should also have some other letters and numbers on the pad. Will tell you where engine made, date engine made and then letters which tell what engine hp and if built with a auto or 4 spd trans.
