Seems like they clattered like Hell and the extra valve lash let them breathe but yep, adjustments were often, especially if you drove it hard like we kids did in the 60's.  I think they were good for about 8grand from what I remember.  ER

It was a solid cam, I had one in my 64 Chevelle 327 way back in 66. it was hell to keep adjusted, but I don't know the part number.
