I also forgot to mention...that Chevelle is not worth anywhere close to 60K
that it has been bid up too in the REAL WORLD. Maybe that much was spent on it
(which I can't see that let alone the $300K as stated). I'd like to see
financial records to PROVE there is 300K which brings up another point.....if
General Motors spent 300K on a 35 year old car at the time...no wonder they are
about to go belly up. It has a 350 in it...big deal they are a dime a dozen.
I think someone is going to be very disappointed IF they win it unless they
have more money than brains. The most I'd pay for that car is $15K and I'd
take it apart and redo it.

I agree with this post...$300,000.00 for this build? I have a friend how has
one of 4 (maybe 6) produced 1973 Formula Firebird's with an SD455, etc.
combination.
He's getting older now. Has most everything: engine, trans,. etc. That 300K
could go a long way. Get his back to stock...give the rest away.

By the way he's a Priest. Started drag racing in the '60s. (his team worked
their way up through Pro Stock - now Pro Mod)

I do about anything to get him on something like Overhaulin'. Except the car
has to run and it's apart.

Off the record (I don't think he'll see this post) He's the most dedicated,
soft-spoken, knowledgeable guy about the sport I've ever know. He's the Police
Chaplain for 30+ years...in a larger city in the Midwest so setting him up for
a 'mark' could work out well. I know it won't happen but if anyone has any
input on the show there absolutely couldn't be a better candidate.

Always God 1st. But this wonderful man has Sunoco 260 running through his
veins. Sorry this wasn't about Chevelles but we're all on the same team.

I've seen that car in person...nothing really to get excited about. I
expected better quality considering where it came from.
