I did it, The secondary side of the relay is fed from the accessory connection
in the fuse box which is part of the radio curcuit. I replaced the blown fuse
for the radio and now my cowl induction is working properly. Thank you all for
all your help. Now iam getting ready for my next mission. The dreaded dash. Iam
sure I'll be asking alot of questions so please bear with me. Again, Thank you
all. Bob

Subject: [Chevelle-list] cowl induction wiring

I need help. I bought a wiring harness, a new relay and a new soleniod for my
cowl induction. I have voltage up to the relay when the gas peddle switch is
closed but I cant get any voltage through the relay to the seloniod. Is there a
way to check the relay. The wiring diagram shows the terminals on the relay as
letters but the relay I have is marked with numbers. So Iam not sure if iam
hooked up right or not. The wiring harness I got from Ground Up will only plug
into the relay one way. The tan wire going to the soleniod is connected to the
relay with the pink wire. Those two wires share the same plug but seperate
terminals at a right angle to each other there marked on the relay as numbers 3
& 4. The third terminal on the relay is connected to a tan wire going to the
acc. terminal in the fuse box its marked number 1. I hope this is not too
confusing and somebody can help. Thanks again everybody. BobĀ
