Could be a electric fan switch. If it jumped together it is being bypassed to
run all the time or going to a toggle switch.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] 70 SS 396 cu in engine sensor

Have enjoyed reading the emails and problem solving… This is my first
submission to Chevelle list.

On the passenger side of the engine, just below the valve cover and above the
exhaust manifold I

have what appears to be a temperature sensor with two spade lugs. My dash temp
gauge does work.

Saw the same senor on another car at a local cruz the other day and the spade
lugs were jumpered together

With a single wire going to the firewall harness.

What is the purpose of the sensor and spade connectors?

Thanks for any info.

Dave
