Sorry it took so long. The starter is a 6449, which if you search, just comes up as a gear reduction starter. I got it at Davis auto electric, his # is 540-377-2062 and is in Raphine, Va right off I-81 exit 205. I'm sure you can find it other places. I have not had any problems with it and it only cost me $110.00 which is a lot less than advertised gear reduction starters. Hope this helps. Dan
