Dan, when I fit new tyres, the nitrogen is part of the deal and being a customer top ups are free! ----- Original Message ----- From: Dan Solomon To: Chevelle List Sent: Sunday, November 08, 2009 4:17 PM Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] A different Type of Question
My boss has a Mercedes with tire pressure monitors. Was constantly having to make additions. The nitrogen was recommended by the dealer and solved the problem. If I remember correctly it was pricey. Good ol air works fine for me. The claim is that nitrogen is better than compressed air in a tire. They claim that nitrogen is a dry gas and is free of moisture. It doesn't deteriorate the rubber and it is lss susceptible to air loss with temperature changes. I'd be interested to hear what the "group" thinks about this.
