G body brakes are barely adequate enough for one of those cars let alone a heavier Chevelle. It would be much easier to simply convert your drum spindles, order new backing plates, caliper brackets, and go buy the rotors, bearings & seals, and loaded calipers at NAPA. The other option is go to a junkyard and find a 9C1 caprice or Impala SS and yank the spindle assemblies off it and use the Camaro 1LE rotors. Quick question to you guys, I am going to be putting front discs on the 71 in the next little while, I have heard of guys using g body spindles, do they bolt straight up? No I am not even thinking about a brake kit yes it is easier but not cheaper and I have a budget set for this car, I plan on being able to sell it for a little profit <http://mail.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/tsmileys2/18.gif> , plus access to a couple G bodies. Anyway any info would be great.
