José Landaverde (773) 968-4258 Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE, is so eager to deport immigrants from the United States to look good before the election, that is even trying to deport United States citizens! For the second time in a month, Immigration opened an investigation on a U.S. citizen of Mexican descent. When ICE informs local authorities that a detainee is on "immigration hold", the families are not allowed to post bonds and detainees remain in jail for weeks and even months. Rev. José Landaverde, community activists and relatives of detainees will hold a press conference to present the case of Salvador Contreras, a U.S. citizen born in Chicago, who is currently on "immigration hold."
