    "Why take part in a process that does not do anything for my community?" he 
asks. Not waiting for an answer to this question, he goes on quickly to 
underline his point. 

    "Politics is about what's in it for me. And our community has always been 
left out." 


  I don't see how members of the community NOT participating will cause the 
community to be paid more attention to. Really that means you are allowing the 
horrible attitudes to have a voice without trying to make yours heard through 
members of the community that can vote. So how is that action working to 
resolve the problem of being ignored by politicians?
