JCUA theater event to focus on immigration reform JCUA and Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation will sponsor an immigration-focused theater event Saturday, Oct. 25. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. at JRC (303 Dodge Ave., Evanston), the evening will feature "Aquí Estoy," composed of two provocative pieces based on interviews conducted by the members of the Albany Park Theater Project's youth ensemble with undocumented immigrants in Chicago. Named one of the best shows of 2007 by the Chicago Sun-Times, "Aquí Estoy" has been cited for the "astonishing originality" with which it humanizes the often corrupt and mean-spirited rhetoric of the national immigration debate. Suggested donation is $5 per person/$15 per family (suitable for ages 12 and up). For more info, contact Dina April, (847) 328-7678. If you're interested in getting involved with JCUA's immigrant-justice work, contact Tom Walsh, at (312) 663-0960.
