Wells Fargo leases office space to human rights violator Sheriff Arpaio of
Maricopa County, Arizona, despite protests and a consistent presence for 38
days in front of Wells Fargo's corporate office in Phoenix, Arizona by groups
calling for Wells Fargo to terminate its lease with Sheriff Arpaio.
Chicago's Immigrant Defense Committee invites you to participate in a call-in
to Wells Fargo on Monday, October 27th from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. for the following
purposes:
To request that Wells Fargo discontinue leasing its office space to human
rights violator, Sheriff Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona.
To be in solidarity with Immigrant Rights organizations and various groups in
Phoenix, Arizona and other U.S. cities who are demanding that Wells Fargo
discontinue their lease with Sheriff Arpaio.
To draw attention to and awareness of anti-immigrant legislation and practices
in the city of Chicago and across the nation.
Your call is needed on October 27th between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. We want to send
a clear message to Chicago executives of Wells Fargo that we are outraged that
Wells Fargo leases office space to Sheriff Arpaio. If you are unable to call
during the selected day and time, we encourage you to call whenever you are
able to do so.
Join us in front of Wells Fargo's office located at 123 N Wacker Drive,
Chicago, IL on October 27th from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. where we will be
passing out leaflets to inform people about the issue and the action being

Hello. My name is ________. I am calling you today because I urge Wells Fargo
to terminate its lease with the Maricopa County Sheriff's office at the Wells
Fargo Tower, 100 W Washington in Phoenix Arizona. Sheriff Joe Arpaio commits
human rights violations against those he arrests and the community in general,
he profiles people based on race and ethnicity, and he associates with hate
mongering groups such as the Minutemen and other white-supremacist groups.
Wells Fargo should not tolerate those who terrorize and abuse any person. I
ask that you call upon Wells Fargo executives in Phoenix, Arizona to terminate
their lease with Sheriff Arpaio. Thank you for your consideration. I hope you
