Victory at Republic Windows and doors!!

Yesterday at Noon, we had a massive Chicago coalition rally (and others around
the country), with many JwJ groups showing what they can do when we need to. A
wide cross section of labor, faith, community and student groups turned out.

Yesterday evening, Bank of America agreed to a settlement, which has been and
ratified.

Stay tuned for info on efforts to re-open the plant, and the larger struggle
for a "People's Bailout" that makes our economy work for everyone.

Subject: Rally Wed. is ON -- Be There!

Please disregard the premature announcements and emails suggesting that the
rally Wed (tomorrow) at Bank of America is cancelled.

The Rally is ON!!

Be There! Pass it on!!

Wed, Dec. 10
12 Noon
231 S. LaSalle

1) There is no deal reached on the Republic Windows sit-in situation.

2) Even if there were a deal, the RALLY would go on. As several labor leaders
have said, the struggle at Republic is but an example of a bigger, deeper
issue: what kind of recovery do we need? What kind of future economy will we
fight for?

We still demand a "People's Bailout".

We still need to fight to save these jobs, and other manufacturing jobs and
green jobs.
We still need to stop foreclosures (BofA is a perp on this as well).
We still need to shore up state/local services and infrastructure.
We still need to rein in corporate greed, with worker organizing and
regulations that put people first.
