The genocide of men, women, children by the Israeli government should not be tolerated, accepted or justified. Unfortunately, the division within the political forces in Palestine does not help to provide a creative and unified leadership against the occupation by Israel, and gives excuses to Israel and some part of the international community to justify the genocide against the Palestinian people. But we have historical memory. We know the historical aggression, massacre and occupation by the Israel government of the land of Palestine. We demand compliance by Israel of the more than 427 United Nations resolutions issued against the occupation since 1967, which have not been enforced by the international community. Today, more that ever, we need to stand up and not allow impunity for this new crime. We must be part of an international mobilization against the massacre by the Israel government. We know that the Bush administration will justify any activity of the Israeli government against Palestine, but we hope that the administration, elected under the promise of “Change”, changes this policy. We demand that Barack Obama’s administration change the “unconditional” support given to Israeli aggressio n by the current government. Finally, we support and will be present at the action called by the solidarity movement for Friday, January 3rd, at 3:00 p.m., at the Chicago Tribune Plaza, Free Palestine, End of the occupation NOW!!!
