Last January, the Chicago Plan Commission rejected the Congress Hotel’s proposal for an expansion that would have included a new swimming pool, restaurant, health club and five extra floors. The Congress Hotel filed a lawsuit against the Plan Commission in response, and we have reason to believe the lawsuit is currently being settled. It is likely that the Plan Commission will be hearing the Congress’ proposal again at their meeting next week as a result of the settlement.
