Try running the test a few thousand times with your existing chicken. Just compile symbolgc-tests.scm with
csc symbolgc-tests.scm and run with something like: for i in $(seq 1 1000); do ./symbolgc-tests -:w; done > /dev/null I'm getting this problem now with clang 4.0 (on OS X 64-bit), but only 1-2 times per 1,000 runs.
