Thanks for this one. I've pushed it. Incidentally, "make check" ran to completion today. The symbol GC test which was failing yesterday succeeded now! Might be a consequence of small internal shifts, like you said. Anyway, I rebuilt again with 20b7d9ef62480b43a64e04b7381d9cf62e6823a7 and it failed. So to debug this problem we could use that revision; it consistently fails here, and it also failed on today's build at call-cc.
