By the way, you may notice when I updated its type I added only output-port; after a few tests it seems only files opened for writing can be truncated (and the manual confirms this). However, files opened for reading _can_ have their owner or group changed or stat'ed, so those all should accept the generic "port" type. Cheers, Peter
