Hello, everybody!

The following eggs are now available:

- imlib2 (imlib2 interface) and phoghorn (thumbnail gallery for
spiffy), by Peter Bex
- updated vector-lib, by Zbigniew Szadkowski
- ppi (parallel port access under FreeBSD), by Michal Dybisbanski
- protobj (prototype-based object system), by Neil van Dyke
- qthack (leightweight Qt interface)

Small fixes and improvements have been made to spiffy, ncurses, debug
and xosd.

What's new in Chicken (darcs repo, version 1.939) since the last snapshot:

- added `hash-table-exists?' and `alist->hash-table'
- removed `advise' from csi
- `-:fXXX' runtime option for setting pending finalizer buffer
- Option -ffi-no-include
- ([not] check-c-syntax) declaration
- `process[-execute]' accept optional environment a-list
- configure checks for gmake (for those BSD users that are too lazy to read
  the README... ;-)
- A short intro into the module system has been added to the manual
(thanks to Scott G. Miller for letting me use the relevant parts from the SISC
  manual)
- csi -eval implies -batch and -quiet
- And most importantly, the feature you always waited for:
the -:B runtime option rings a bell on every major garbage
collection! Impress your
friends and co-workers with this nifty feature!
- And lots of bugfixes, of course

Many thanks to all who reported bugs and suggested improvements!

cheers,
felix
