PCRE has my vote too. I never heard of Oniguruma, what makes it so much more powerful than PCRE? The most common one is PCRE, which makes it less annoying for people to install. We should depend on as few out-of-the-ordinary third-party libraries as possible. If an application has even a few dependencies that I don't currently have, I think twice before installing it.
