Hi Folks,

1) Looks like MacOS X was the only odd one. Every other platform (sample only from people that responded!) uses POSIX timezone offset interpretation. I.E. The documented Chicken behavior - timezone offset is seconds west of UTC.

2) Thanks to John Cowan's Cygwin build a bug in the use of 'timezone' as a variable on Windows was found. (N.B. Should add tests for timezone, _timezone, & __timezone to build systems.)

3) Chicken 2.610 has the above situation fixed.

4) The intervening addition & subtraction of utc-timezone->seconds was due to the absence of '_mkgmtime' in the MinGW time.h header file. Though this works w/ MSVC & Cygwin I removed the feature for now.

Best Wishes,
Kon
