Oh, yay! Will this do the job of the thing I was considering, that
one could easily incorporate into a daemon (spiffy, etc) so you can
'telnet' in to monitor/reconfigure/test/shut down/etc?
yes. read the doc for it, i released a set of updates yesterday that include
usage examples.
