This software is effectively under a 3-clause BSD license with unusual
wording: it does not contain any equivalent of the first clause, which
says that you can't remove the copyright notice, list of conditions,
or disclaimer.  Nobody is likely to do so; in any event, removing the
copyright notice is fraud.

Yes.  (Language note: "has gotten" in American English means only "has
acquired", "has obtained", or the like; it's obsolete in other varieties
of English.  You want either "has" (AmE or BrE) or "has got" (BrE)).
