Dear Chicken Fans, this is the first 'bad news' since a while. Our request for a stand at FOSDEM 2011 has been declined. Nonetheless there might be a chance to get some space in a devroom or we can do something else. As you can see from the mail below I don't know why our application didn't get approval but I guess the increasing popularity of FOSDEM doesn't make life easier for the organizers...
So, which way to go? Kind regards, Christian P.S.: If you are reading this and are organising an interesting Open Source event CHICKENISTAS are more than happy to drop by and or have a booth at your thing if someone is physically able to get there :) ----- Forwarded message from Elise Huard <[email protected]> ----- Date: Tue, 21 Dec 2010 23:49:43 -0800 (PST) From: Elise Huard <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Cc: devrooms <[email protected]> Subject: [FOSDEM] Chicken Scheme stand declined Sender: Elise Huard <[email protected]> Hi, We're sorry, but your stand request for Chicken Scheme for FOSDEM 2010 has not been accepted. We realize that this must be disappointing news, but unfortunately we don't have a sufficient number of stands at our disposal to cover all requests. Just to clarify: your request is perfectly valid, but we had to pick. Although your project will not have a stand, there are other possibilities to talk about it at FOSDEM: - On http://fosdem.org/2010/list-devrooms-their-call-talks we host a list of the accepted devrooms, with (soon) a link to their call for talks. Perhaps one of the devrooms shares your interests ? - Projects that do not fit in a devroom can apply for a lightning talk at FOSDEM, see http://fosdem.org/2010/call_for_lightningtalks. Kind Regards, The FOSDEM stand organizers. ----- End forwarded message ----- _______________________________________________ Chicken-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/chicken-users
