Hmmm, I'm sorry it didn't work for you out of the box. Of course it works seamlessly for me, murphys law at work :)
When you ran the installer what path did you use for the install? It doesn't work in anything other than c:\chicken. Also, if you haven't already try adding C:\chicken\bin to your PATH. Finally, note that it is possible that there are dependencies on MinGW being installed in C:\MinGW, I have not tested anything else.
