I'm trying this out with a very new chicken (4.6.6): mkdir ~/tmp/foo chicken-install -init ~/tmp/foo export CHICKEN_REPOSITORY=/home/felix/tmp/foo chicken-install hyde This should normally work. CHICKEN_INCLUDE_PATH is not needed.
